Hi!

Your brain isn't built for storing tasks. It's built for thinking. The whole point of my Reminders setup is to get things out of my head fast and into a place I trust.

This week I'm walking through exactly how that works — plus a 30-second tip to link Reminders to Apple Notes, and a note about the podcast episode I just dropped.

Quick Tip

Apple Reminders doesn't let you attach a note natively — but there's a workaround that takes 30 seconds.

Right-click any Reminders list → Share List → Invite with Link → email it to yourself.

Copy the iCloud link from that email and paste it into any Apple Note.

Now the note has a direct link that opens the whole list in Reminders.

A Note from me

Last week I joined Tom Anderson and the team on the Basic AF podcast to talk about how I actually use Apple Reminders day to day — inbox-first capture, a weekly Friday review, folders for work, side hustle, and family, and a custom "Your Day" smart list.

It was the most fun I've had explaining this system out loud. If you've read my articles and wondered what it sounds like when I just talk about Reminders without writing it down first, this is that.

Find Basic AF wherever you listen to podcasts.

See you next week.
