I’ve never believed that you can run a successful business out of passion.
Entrepreneurship is not for fun. It is to make money.
I was so wrong.
Since I started my digital business, I have met a lot of like-minded people. Many of them create amazing projects out of passion. Here I will show you how you can start your simple newsletter that you will love.
Your passion = your business
I have been a big fan of consumer technology for years. I use Apple products and its ecosystem.
I like to improve my workflow to increase productivity.
I also like to understand how the digital world affects our lives.
But this is my hobby, not a business.
However, from time to time I have shared what I have learned.
I published a few stories on Medium about how I organise my life using Apple Notes and Reminders.
And you know what? They are the most popular content I have ever published.
Then I joined Threads and decided to talk about my hobby. I shared some tips on how to use Apple apps better and be more productive.
I started to grow my audience and in just 30 days got 165k views, almost 3,000 likes and over 700 comments.

My posts on technology get a lot of attention.

I then thought — that’s a good sign!
My simple newsletter concept
I launched my primary newsletter in December 2023. The concept is simple:
I save the best things I find online about making money online.
Each week I choose a few of them to share in my newsletter.
I keep my content to a minimum, and my subscribers can decide whether to click or not.
I use the same idea in my Two Minute Tech newsletter.
Quick, curated resources to help my audience better use technology:
Tools and tutorials to increase productivity
Best of Apple products and ecosystem
AI and digital economy trends
Everything in less than 2 minutes every Monday.

How you can start a newsletter about your passion
There are many great ways to find your niche. You can take a look at these examples of successful side hustles that are inspired by passion.
Cooking, travelling, gaming. You choose.
Once you know this, start writing content about it. This could be short social media posts or articles on Medium or Substack.
If you see good traction, start a business around it. Newsletter, digital product or book.
